Places to Eat
on a Klamath Vacation?

If you’re looking for places to eat while on a Klamath Vacation we can give you some pointers. We don’t eat out a lot but we’ve eaten out at most of the places listed below and have some excellent recommendations. Of course, we have our favorites and hopefully they’ll become your favorites too.

Klamath Falls and the surrounding area is not known for national chain restaurants except for fast food. Most of the non-fast food restaurants are owned locally with a wide-variety of tastes and cuisines.

Most of the places to eat are in the middle and lower price ranges with entrees around $10 or below. Of course, there are a number of higher priced restaurants that we go to for special occasions with full-course dinners between $20 and $30 per person.

So here are our top 4 picks …

Wong’s (Chinese) 421 Main St. Klamath Falls, OR 97601

Combination Plate at Wong's

We love Chinese food. Or shall I say I love Chinese food. Wong’s is located on Main Street close to the courthouse. The atmosphere is a little dated but you get a good-size portion of food and the service is excellent. I always order the sweet and sour pork, fried prawns, and almond chicken combination plate (includes soup, main dish, and fortune cookie) while my wife always orders the cashew chicken dinner. For the two dinners and tip it’s about $20.

Sergios Dos (Mexican) 4650 S Sixth St Klamath Falls, OR 97603

Being from Texas we grew up eating Tex-Mex Mexican food and even though there isn’t one of those restaurants in the Klamath area Sergio’s is pretty close. Sergio’s is located about a half-mile from the turnoff to Crater Lake Parkway. Most combination plates are around $10.

Wubba’s (BBQ) 3930 S. Sixth St. Klamath Falls, OR 97603

Happy Pig Sandwich - Wubba's

I said that we love Chinese food but a very close second is BBQ. And Wubba’s BBQ restaurant is one of our favorite places to eat on a Friday night. We don’t even need a menu because we order the same item every time – the Happy Pig Sandwich with a side of okra (okra is a favorite food of us ex-Texans!). The total cost including tip is real close to $20. Wubba’s is located close to the fairgrounds.

Mr. B’s Steakhouse (American) 3927 S. Sixth St. Klamath Falls, OR 97603

For that special anniversary or birthday dinner our favorite restaurant choice is Mr. B’s Steakhouse. Mr. B’s is located on South 6th Street across the street from Wubba’s. We usually get a full-course dinner (soup or salad and an entrée). The restaurant has a homey atmosphere since it was converted from a house to a restaurant. It is usually very busy and reservations are recommended.

Some unique places to eat on a Klamath Vacation are –

The Cowboy Dinner Tree Restaurant in Silver Lake, Oregon - website Only two items on the menu – 26-30 oz. top sirloin steak or 1 whole roasted chicken, served with salad, rolls, dessert, and drink for $23.50 per person. Reservations required.
